About Honest Psychology Ltd
Why "Honest Psychology"?
It's who I am, and how I like to do business. My last manager said, "your moral compass always points firmly North," and I think that's important. I like to think dealing with Honest Psychology Ltd is like finding a trustworthy mechanic... (who's fairly priced, hard working, and won't sell you things you don't need...) but for "fixing people issues". Oh, and I have a sense of humour, too. Can you tell?
By the way, it's not intended to say anything about other psychology firms. I am sure we are all ethical!
I qualified as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist in 1994. Before starting Honest Psychology Ltd at the end of 2013, I'd spent 10 years working for Avon Fire and Rescue Service; before that, I was with Penna consulting from 1999 to 2003. I'm based in South Gloucestershire, am married and have two boys.
I'm Chartered as a Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, (BPS: no 79090) and registered with the Health Professions Council (PYL 04323). I'm also an associate fellow of the BPS, an honour given to those with extensive experience.
My other qualifications include:
BPS psychometric testing, Level A and B
ILM level 5 coaching and mentoring award
CMI level 5 management and facilitation of action learning
PTTLs (preparing to teach in the life long learning sector)
D33 (NVQ Assessor)
