Key facts:

• The British Dyslexia Association estimates that 10% of the UK population are dyslexic.  (An estimate from the USA suggests it's closer to 20% there).  Either way, it's really common.

• Guidance for the Equalities Act 2010 makes it clear that Dyslexia (and Dyspraxia, and Dyscalculia) are covered. 

• Employers must make reasonable adjustments;

  • it also makes business sense to help your employees to do their best work for you. 

  • Which is quicker and cheaper - a protracted performance management case, or a dyslexia test and some adjustments?

• A Dyslexia policy makes business sense: raise awareness, test those employees who are affected, and make some simple adjustments for them.  Then watch as they reward you with their creative work!
